Debate

We had our debate today . But too bad 6 Joy's Debate Team lost . They were debating with 6 Love . The motion was , "Handphones Should Be Banned In Schools" . 6 Joy's Debate Team was the propostion, while 6 Love's was oppositition . After the debate, Mr Christmas Lee announced that 6 Love was the winner for the preliminary debate . I think I know why 6 Joy lost in the debate . The 6 Hope pupil was too soft when she spoke, even when she had a microphone ! At least a little better with a microphone . Maybe that's why . If it's not, then it should be due to the explanation and opinion 6 Joy's Debate Team gave . Mr Lee also announced that Marcus was the best speaker . That's good, at least they've got something good to say about 6 Joy's Debate Team . Even though 6 Joy's Debate Team lost, they still tried their best to win the debate . Thanks to James, Marcus, and a girl from 6 Charity and 1 from 6 Hope for trying their best to win in the debate . If you guys are interested in debating, you can join the English Language Debating Society as a CCA when you are in Secondary Schools .

This morning, there were no secondary schools visiting our school to give us a talk about their school . So we just played cards, chit-chat, or fold stars . Mr Lim also let us watch a movie, "The Shaggy Dog" . We didn't get to finish watching that movie to the end . We will continue watching it next Monday . The movie was a little hilarious, I watched it before . (: I also like that movie . After the debate, we were given notes about the Graduation Ball . Here's the basic information you'll need to know, just in case any of you forget .

Event Located At : The Chevron, Jurong
Date : 21st November, Saturday
Time :
  • Reach school at 5 o'clock
  • Excursion Bus will be leaving at 5.30pm
  • Estimated time for reaching the Chevron : 6.30pm
  • Graduation Ball will end at 9.30pm
  • Estimated time for reaching school after the Graduation Ball ends : 10.30pm

After that, we watched a video clip, "The Arena" . That TV Programme was about debating . Well, that's all for now, 6 Joy !
